Nokia n96 BBC iPlayerAccording the bbc news  Nokia’s latest multi media device, the n96 will include BBC iPlayer.

Apparently the media player will be available for download on the BBC websites from October 1st and pre-loaded on certain devices. Does this suggest that users of other series 60 handsets will be able to download the iPlayer too?

The BBC iPlayer allows UK audiences to download and stream BBC TV and Radio programming from the past seven days.

A Nokia spokesman said that the service would be available over Wifi and 3G and that Nokia wouldn’t be charging for the service. Those 2 statements in the same sentence could be a little misleading for some. You’ll still be charged to use the iPlayer over 3G unless you have an unlimited data package. The only true unlimited package in the UK is only available on the iPhone.
